Robert Sherriff

Robert Sherriff is a 1984 alumnus of Sedbergh School and Bristol University in the UK. An experienced manufacturing entrepreneur he spent over 25 years working in China, most recently as the CEO of Item Industries Ltd, a consumer product contract manufacturer he co-founded in 1993. Item Industries specialized in the design and manufacture of infant feeding products, medical and pest control devices, and personal hydration systems for some of the world’s leading brands including Philips / Avent, SC Johnson, Church and Dwight, Energizer / Playtex, Tommee Tippee, CamelBak and others. Mr. Sherriff sold this business in 2016. From 2001 – 2014 Robert served as Non-Executive Director and at times Vice-Chair of the Association of Sustainable & Responsible Investment in Asia, based in Hong Kong, a not-for-profit, membership association dedicated to promoting corporate responsibility and sustainable investment practice in the Asia Pacific region. This organization merged with UN PRI in October 2015.
